INTRODUCTION
During my yearly vegetarian diet last year, I remember I have eaten this dish in one of the vegetarian restaurant. Not exactly the same but is in vegetarian version. The whole family liked it very much. I have wanted to prepare the dish but I always forgot ..During Chinese New Year, I bought quite a lot of radishes and since I still have one radish sitting idle in the fridge, I have decided to take a plunge to prepare this dish.
After I prepared and took the pictures. I started to regret and I posted this in one Facebook Group because I am uncertain if readers will try this recipe as it is overly simple.
One member asked for me for the recipe claiming that she loved radishes and wanted to try cooking the dish. I told her that I am not certain if I wanted to issue the recipe because of the reason above. She said it is okay and she will try first. I obliged and gave her the simple recipe in a few lines.. She really tried out and she came back to me telling met that it is a delicious dish and “gave me the green light” to issue the recipe.. Below is what Ms. Betty Ong has prepared and she told me her family liked the dish very much too.

That gave me the courage to issue this simple recipe and I told her that the deliciousness of this dish is its simplicity and very much depends on the meat broth used. If you do not have the meat broth, you can always transform using vegetarian oyster sauce to make it a vegetarian version.
My family personally like the dish, you will be surprised that such simple dish can be delicious and of course prior to that you must first love to eat radishes. I do not have any history or background to tell you more about this simple dish. It is just a delicious dish that i have eaten in a restaurant.. Ha-ha. It is a healthy dish without any drops of oil. It has much less calories than other vegetable dishes.. In fact, researches shows that radishes promote weight loss.. Radishes & Weight Loss | – Livestrong.com

STEPS OF PREPARATION
- Peel the radish and sliced into 3-4mm thickness. Arrange the radish in the steaming plate. Steamed at high heat for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, mix the chicken stock with oyster sauce. After 15 minutes, pour the chicken stock and oyster sauce onto the radish, continue to steam for about 15 minutes or until the radishes turn transparent. Best to let it continue soaking for one hour before serving with white rice.
CONCLUSION
This recipe will be captured into simple household recipe. If you like radish, you should give it a try. Personally, we like the texture and original radish flavour. You can use any stock you like to steam the radish. The attractiveness of the dish will depend on how well you plated your dish.. Use your creativity and come out with a unique plate of steamed radish. Lastly, this is not suppose to be a soup dish, it is a vegetable dish . Of course you can always steam with more stock if you like.
