Sayur Paku
I just discovered there are people selling “Sayur Paku” in Singapore (Tuesday and Friday in Geylang Serai Wet Market).
I miss these wild ferns that are abundant when I was in East Malaysia donkey years ago. We will go to the bushes, shrubs and picked these wild ferns. It is usually cooked with “balachan” (dried shrimp paste, coconut milk and chillies. It is very slimy like lady fingers. It then remind me of another wild delicacy…. Flower of the durian tree…(things I just discovered in singapore)..
